Finally business schools have recognized the relevancy and importance of social media to business, as well as the staying power of this force - not only as a marketing enabler, but also as a communication enabler. I can not believe that corporations today haven’t incorporated social media tools into the work place more pervasively to enhance communications internally as well as externally. I think mainstream employees are still trying to understand the tools and are just now becoming exposed via products like Facebook. Imagine how different things will look in the next 5-10 years as the net generation of employees start to become more tenured.

I think the article has relevancy for recruiters, because as students gain more and more exposure to today’s social media/networking tools, these tools will only become more and more relevant as ways for us to interact with candidates.
